![]() ![]() We are pleased to announce a new version of Waves plugins, Waves V11. They store them as Waveshells (if that’s what they’re all called) and are just a giant bundles that are impossible to do anything with.Mac Waves 11 Complete Full Crack 2020 update If you get a demo of a Waves plug-in, you will have to download an entire bundle to get it and won’t have access to individual plugins in your folder to uninstall/delete. The worst thing about Waves is how their plugins store in your VST/AU folders. ![]() JUST DON’T UPDATE WHEN IT SAYS ONE’S AVAILABLE! I’m still using a few waves plugins that I bought over 10 years ago. Paying 30 bucks for a plug-in you can utilize for years isn’t a bad trade off unless you don’t have the know how to get the same thing from another plug-in once the time comes where it no longer works w/what you got. As long as you don’t ever update them through Waves Central, you should be able to use a Waves plug-in for years until the version you’re using no longer functions with your operating system etc. WARNING: some people might hate this advice, but this is what I do s as far as Waves plugins. ![]() Have to move Waveshell 14.0 and Waveshell 13.3 and Waveshell 13.0 etc etc, and have it make a drop-down entry in Ableton so you have to remember what random version number your plugin is under when you want to use it. Can’t just install plugins individually and have them separated. There’s also Waveshell, which is so dumb I don’t even know where to begin. It feels like they would prefer you never do anything wrong ever so support doesn’t have to do anything. They demand proof you need to do a transfer, receipt and everything, and kinda browbeat you about your decision to do so. I bought a new PC recently since my old one died, and had to go through support to get a new license transfer and it sucks massive balls. You only get one license transfer A YEAR. I swapped some computer components and had to do a license transfer to reinstall my plugins. The Waves app and moving licenses around makes iLok look angelic in comparison. Waves plugins are honestly pretty good, but installing them and using them is a nightmare. You can also get a ton of Melda plugins for free and get demo units too. I’d go with either FabFilter or Melda plug-ins as they seem to have comparable plugins but they don’t fuck you up with updates and compatibility issues. To me that shit sounds like straight up extortion. I bet he’d get pissed off just seeing this thread tbh.Īgain I haven’t ever used them but when I heard that I almost couldn’t believe it. I forget the details but he was fucking pissed. My producer friends have also warned me in the past, I have avoided them like the plague because I’ve been warned before actually by some buddies a few years ago but basically he was saying they make you pay for every update and even if it’s just like you upgraded an OS or your OS upgraded itself from what I understand they’ll make you upgrade your plugin just to be able to use it on the new OS! He said he even reached out to support and like beefed with them essentially because he got a new PC with a new OS and found out he had to pay an “upgrade” fee to use his Waves plugins and he had like a shit load so apparently it was a pretty penny and a lot at stake. I am pretty sure I have read on this very sub a post specifically warning against buying Waves products because their upgrade practices are beyond shady. ![]()
